Summer wine expo Saturday, July 11

With summer in full swing I thought it was time to host another wine expo, which is exactly what I’m doing this weekend. I hope to help you find some of the best wines out there to enjoy during summer dinners and fêtes as well as the perfect hostess gift when meeting friends during the season.

This Saturday, July 11, 2014, from 3-5 pm, join us for a very special edition of our popular AVA Wine Expo Series. We’ll taste the best of the summer, specially sourcedto accompany those freshly harvested seasonal foods and summer-themed dishes.

Just as with our other wine expos, you can enjoy some small plate samplers with your tasting, making a nice mid-afternoon snack with your tasting for an all-inclusive $10 price per person.

One way to make this super fun for you and yours is to gather a group of friends and all plan to come together. You can get and give feedback on the wines, plan for some of your summer trips and parties, and stock up (we sell wine by the bottle and case to go). The expo itself is just a great girls’ outing, afternoon date, or solo tasting event to expand your palette.

Wine to go, too!

In addition to the expo prices, we sell retail wine for sale at a whopping 30% off our menu price. Wine by the case (12 bottles) nets you an additional 10% discount! It’s easy to stock up at the expo knowing what you want, feeling confident in your purchase, and getting it all for a fair price.

We’re proud of our Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, a designation which, in our case, has been given to only two restaurants in a 100-mile radius. This is great to know if you’re looking for a fine wine with dinner. But you can also stop by anytime during business hours — 5-9 pm Wednesday and Thursday or 5-10 Friday and Saturday — and with our ABC off license we’re available to you for wine sales to go.

This Saturday come see me and my wine rep, and we’ll be able to offer informative guidance about the wines on offer, pairing suggestions, and answer questions about wines on our regular menu.

I hope to see you on Saturday afternoon.
