I’m so excited to host another summer wine dinner. Before we reach the end of tomato and berry season, and the freshest of everything, I want to make sure we’re as creative as can be with this lush season.

To that end I hope you’ll join me at AVA this Friday, August 21st, throughout the evening, for a four-course Summer Wine Dinner with Virginia’s own Prince Michel Vineyards and Winery.

Reservations are not necessary, but are always welcome so if you’d like to set a dining time in advance, simply call us at (540) 886-2851. The wine dinner is $45 per person, and is a delight from beginning to end.

The menu

First Course

Arugula with apples, Gorgonzola and a Chardonnay vinaigrette. Wine: Prince Michel 2012 Chardonnay. 

Second Course 

Salmon Croquette with sweet potato hash. Wine: Prince Michel Cabernet Franc. 

Third Course

Brisket with caramelized onion casserole and roasted tomatoes. Wine: Prince Michel Cabernet Sauvignon.

Fourth Course

Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. Wine: An onsite blend of the Rapidan River Chocolate and Radian River Raspberry wines.

As always, I’m sure I’ve tempted you. So clear the books, set your time, and come on in for a hearty and flavorful wine dinner to thrill your tastebuds and expand your exposure to local Virgiia wines.
