Aussie Wine Dinner October 10

In the spirit of always trying something different in the world of food and wine, AVA is hosting an Australian Wine Dinner on Saturday October 10th.

It’s been fun for me to plan this dinner and these pairings because it’s prompted me to look to an entirely different place on the globe for ideas and inspiration. I think you’ll enjoy it too — just check out this fun menu and pairings (vegetarian options available on request):

The menu

First Course

Grilled shrimp on green apple Asian slaw. Wine: Yellowglen Sparkling.

Second Course

Lamb pie. Wine: Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz/Mourvèdre Blend.

Third Course

Rib-eye with plum and cranberry reduction with mashed potatoes and mushroom beet sauté. Wine: Molly Dooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz.

Fourth Course

Lamington cake with raspberry jam. Wine: Penfolds Club Tawny Port.
