Winter Holidays Wine Expo, Dec. 12th, 3-5pm

In the countdown to Christmas and New Year’s Eve, you’re probably mulling which gifts to give to whom, and what token or hostess gift to take with you to a party, as well as what to serve with meals and celebrations of your own.

Of course, as a connoisseur of fine wines (and of wine and food pairings), I always think of wine as a nice gift to give, whether formally — under the Christmas Tree — or informally, as a gift to a host or hostess of an event. And I also love to consult on the best wines to pair with meal and menu planning.

That’s why it’s time for another AVA Wine Expo, this one themed for the holidays.

This Saturday, December 12th 2015, from 3-5 pm, we’ll be open early at AVA for a fantastic holiday wine tasting at a deal of a price. For only $15 per person you’ll get tastings from any (or all) of the following wines, along with nibbling samples from our wine and cheese plate and charcuterie and bread plate.

It’s a holiday season, not just a day

There’s 24 days of Advent, 12 days of Christmas, a Winter Solstice in there, and then New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to say nothing of Twelfth Night! There’s certainly plenty of time to drink wine, beginning now! So we’ll be in our most festive mood on Saturday, and ready to guide you on these wines as well as provide advice on wines for any menus you’ve already got planned.

We want to assist you as you explore which wine(s) you’d enjoy most this holiday season. You can try every wine on this Expo Menu, or just one wine — whatever is your fancy. And we can make food pairing suggestions for each if you’d like.

All the bottle prices listed on the menu are significantly discounted from the normal bottle price, and we’ll offer even more generous discounts on case prices.

Our Expos are always so fun, happening, and full of a great exchange of information. The events give an opportunity to explore tastes, talk about food, think about what you — or a gift recipient — will most enjoy. And we love talking to you about all of that while you’re tasting.

What better time and spirit for that than at this holiday season?

I hope to see you there! And you can get a Pdf copy of the menu here.
